മുജാഹിദ് (റ) പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. ഖുറൈശികൾ ബിലാലി(റ)ന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ കയറു കെട്ടി. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ മക്കയിലെ മലകൾക്കിടയിൽ വലിച്ചിഴക്കാൻ കുട്ടികളോട് പറഞ്ഞു. അതുപ്രകാരം കുട്ടികൾ വലിച്ചിഴച്ചു. ബിലാൽ(റ) അഹദ് അഹദ് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു. ബിലാൽ(റ) തന്നെ പിൽക്കാലത്ത് പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ എന്നെ ഒരു രാവും പകലും തുടർച്ചയായി കെട്ടിവലിച്ചു. എന്റെ തൊണ്ട വരണ്ടു. ഒരക്ഷരവും പുറത്ത് വരാത്ത അവസ്ഥയിലായി.
ബിലാലി(റ)നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്ന രംഗം കണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് വറഖത് ബിൻ നൗഫൽ കടന്നു പോയി. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു, ബിലാലേ ശരിയാണ് ബിലാൽ. അഹദ് അഹദ് അല്ലാഹു സത്യം. ഉമയ്യത്തിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു, ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ നിങ്ങൾ കൊല്ലുകയാണോ? അങ്ങനെയെങ്ങാനും സംഭവിച്ചാൽ ബിലാലി(റ)ന്റെ ഖബറിടം ഞാൻ കാരുണ്യഭവനമായി പരിപാലിക്കും.
ഒടുവിൽ അബൂബക്കർ (റ) അതുവഴി കടന്നു വന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ഉമയ്യത്തിനോട് ചോദിച്ചു. അല്ലയോ ഉമയ്യാ: ഈ പാവത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ നീ പടച്ചനെ ഭയക്കുന്നില്ലേ? നീയീ പാവത്തെ ഏതു വരെയാണ് ശിക്ഷിക്കാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്? ഉമയ്യ പറഞ്ഞു. നിങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണ് ഇവനെ നശിപ്പിച്ചത്. നിങ്ങൾ തന്നെ ഇവനെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്താൻ വേണ്ടത് ചെയ്തോളൂ. അബൂബക്കർ (റ) പറഞ്ഞു, ശരി എൻ്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആരോഗ്യവാനും നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ ഉറച്ചു ജീവിക്കുന്നവനുമായ ഒരു കറുത്ത അടിമയുണ്ട്. അവനെ ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് തരാം പകരം ബിലാലി(റ)നെ മോചിപ്പിച്ചോളൂ. ഉമയ്യ: സമ്മതിച്ചു. അബൂബക്കർ(റ) ബിലാലി(റ)നെ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് സ്വതന്ത്രനാക്കി. ബിലാൽ(റ) അടിമത്തത്തിന്റെ ചങ്ങലയിൽ നിന്ന് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ ലോകത്തേക്ക് പ്രവേശിച്ചു.
